Unique and always beautiful your hand bouquet images! Recognise some of the plants but not all. Such a lovely series, deserving of an exhibition before too long!
Thank you! I'd like that very much. I think the power of the series will be in its continuance. It's satisfying to look back on them all, each meaningful to me in their own way, including some from your garden!
I’m excited to see what you see as your new space changes with the seasons. We live on a quarter acre and it isn’t as beautifully wild as your place but we are slowly both cultivating and naturalizing it. It’s a new place every year — every day really.
Oh I know full well the magic a quarter acre can contain and really it's quite incredible how much wildlife and change and beauty that amount of space is capable of, but only if you are looking for it of course, as you are. Thanks so much for your enthusiasm for this series, and for restacking this post - I really appreciate it. I want so badly for this series to break out and gain recognition, but it feels like a "watched pot never boils" situation. One day... maybe!
What a wonderful idea. I loved seeing your hand bouquets from near and far. I must try it myself. I must admit I have been overwhelmed by our meadow this year. It has been a tough year with Ruth now in a wheelchair and her mobility compromised even more than it was before. Sometimes I just want to give up, but I carry on, as does she. Your bouquets have brightened my day and inspired me to venture into my meadow again soon.
I wonder what plants overlap in our meadows, John? I bet there are quite a few. I'd like to identify everything in my hand in our next newsletter - let's see if I am successful. Sounds indeed like a very tough year, I am sorry to hear of the challenges you and Ruth have been going through, but am very glad to have brightened your day with my hand bouquets (as you brightened mine yesterday with your moon photographs). That's what my series is all about - an offering, a chance to pause and take in some beauty and observe, no matter what else life has in store for us in this moment. Hope your next visit to your meadow is fruitful...
I love the hand bouquets.
Thanks for saying so, Travis! More to come over the weeks, months, years, decades ahead I am sure.

Beautiful!
Thank you, Susanne!
The bouquets are beautiful and it’s a beautiful idea- showing a little portrait of a place in your hand!
Oh I love the way you've understood the whole concept and summed it up so beautifully, Lizzie! Thank you so much.

Beautiful!
Hand bouquets FTW!
Thank you, Joe!
Lovely. I dry a lot of flowers to make tiny bouquets throughout the winter as gifts. What a beautiful spot to forage.
