Between wild, windy weather that left us without power on Wednesday and Thursday, an earthquake shaking the house on Friday morning, and a total solar eclipse to look forward to on Monday, we’re inclined to go light on words and heavy on photographs today.
Picking up from last week’s newsletter which introduced Art Drop #11 and designography, I can’t tell you how many times we went up to visit our new house under construction only for Tom to disappear with camera in hand.
“What’s Tom doing?” our project manager Kip would ask. Well, below is the answer…
I’m curious if anyone reading this who works in construction can see the artful qualities in these details or if, for them, it is too close to the everyday and mundane. Perhaps these only appeal to an outsider for whom these sorts of visuals are unexpected and fresh?
LAST CALL FOR ART DROP #11
Prints of Under the Plaster are only available until April 7, 2024, with no further production of this work for at least a year. To learn more about the paper, sizes, and pricing click the button below to visit the art drop page on our website.
So with Art Drop #11 about to close we will now set our sights on Art Drop #12 coming your way on the 1st of May. It feels momentous, completing a year of art drops. Will we get something special from the eclipse worthy of the occasion? We shall see!
Wow .. I completely love the process of doing art photos during the renovation process. It shows us the possibility of doing photography anytime, anywhere!
Congrats !
Amazing little textures there. I don’t think I’ll look at a home project quite the same way again. Big fan of the shadow photos!
